Pearls

Do you know how pearls are made? When an irritant particle becomes trapped in a mollusk, it coats the irritant with mother of pearl, protecting its soft vulnerable body from discomfort. It’s a lovely metaphor for transforming your own irritants into precious gems. You can coat the things that irritate you with softness until the aggravation is no longer abrasive. Then you can look at it in a different way, seeing the chance for it to teach you something new about yourself and grow. Each pearl you create this way, represents a valuable lesson for how to shift your troubles into treasures.
