What a difference a day makes! I feel so blessed. Both of my “disagreement” friends (see Day 37) have reached out to me in loving touching ways, with each of us choosing care over “rightness”.
Then I spoke with the sister of my New York sister-in-law, who offered me the use of their Florida condo during my extended time in exile. It is 40 minutes south of here so I can still visit my mom when the Assisted Living facilities reopen for visitors. The condo is near a few other Florida friends as well as Dennis and Sharon meaning visits will be easy to arrange. There is a car and internet I can use, PLUS a bicycle, with new routes for me to explore.
Today I am grateful for many blessings including the opportunity to share the retreat center in Pisac with people of vision, hope and determination.
The photo is Schwinn on the bridge we cross over to get to the ocean. The Jupiter Lighthouse is in the background. I thought it was a fitting metaphor for where we are – on a bridge over troubled water with a Lighthouse shining its light – reminding us we can get to the other side, even if we can’t yet see it clearly.
Today I keep pedalling as I count my blessings, appreciating family and friends near and far, along with the shaded chair on which I sit while I reflect, feel and share.
