It’s overcast today, fitting for my mood. I’m pausing as I process the news from Peru. An unofficial report from the President’s Advisory Committee said they will extend the closure of hotels, airports, events and borders for another 90 days. People under 55 will be able to leave their houses starting next Monday and restaurants will be able to offer takeout and delivery. But people over 55 will remain in quarantine.
If all these recommendations are adopted and announced in the next few days, I will decline repatriation and hope for more promising possibilities here in the States. Missing home, I turn once again to nature and the elements for centering.
I breathe in. I breathe out. The wind blows, the leaves flutter, the sea remains calm. With my feet on the sand, I release the heaviness. I breathe in the light. I release what no longer serves me. I listen, I relax, I breathe. I give thanks. I trust we are being led, guided, assisted – each where we’re meant to be in this moment. Here. Now.
New growth is happening on this spring day, despite everything.
