One of the many blessings I have living in Cusco’s Sacred Valley and my beautiful adobe house in Pisac, is watching the sun come up on the mountain ridge from my east-facing meditation room. Each day it rises from a different point, sliding up and down the mountain with the seasons. On the equinoxes – like today – it comes up at the center-point where my balcony doors meet and shines directly in my meditation spot, projecting balance and equilibrium.
Another blessing is to have many sacred sites to choose from to celebrate in on special days like today. A friend and I will go to a high-energy sacred cave temple in the town of Pachar. Wherever you find yourself today, acknowledge this balance point day with gratitude for the sun and life itself.
