I don’t like crowds – something about the energy and the noise. But open air, fresh breeze and ocean views make my heart sing. To get to Isla Mujeres, we had to take a crowed ferry and land on an even more crowded noisy street. Then we got our golf cart and headed to the far south end of the island, which was spectacular. The only downside was getting back home through the crowds and on the ferry. Balancing the pros and cons of life was the lesson of the day – and of course, the lesson of travel generally.
