Where to Begin?

World Peace is a big dream considering the state the world is in at the moment. But they say, at the greatest points of duality and darkness – where it seems we have reached – things begin to move back into balance.

Peace is more than the absence of war. Peace happens when a sufficient amount of people awaken to a conscious level of understanding that we are one body of humanity who needs to nurture all its parts rather than divide and destroy the ones we consider to be problematic.

By empowering ourselves to envision peace, we can reach out to befriend the ones we consider “other” and learn about our differences with interest rather than judgement. In the process, we can also recognize how many similarities we share beyond language, experience and culture.

I’m blessed to live in a place where people from many countries do yoga together, dance together, share meals togehter. I also travel to places where I encounter few whose first language is English. I eat food unfamiliar to me and have interest in learning about cultures different from my own.

This is a starting point for peace to manifest. Try it and see where it leads you.
