I just finished a book called The Space of Love from the Anastasia series in which a recluse who lives in a Siberian forest, teaches that human beings are born with innate knowledge of how to live in harmony with nature and one another but as children are reprogrammed through an antiquated educational structure to forget and replace inner knowing with a system that seeks to control and dominate.
As I was riding my bike to Lake Worth Beach on this cloudy drizzly day, I recalled Newton’s third law of physics: for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. After more than a week of protests around the country and the world, people are coming out of quarantine to say ‘no more’. No more to brutality, to racism, to injustice, to isolation – a “reaction” to excessive control.
Now more than ever, is the time to create Spaces of Love where we rediscover for ourselves how to be healthy and whole, to recognize how living in harmony with each other and nature is the best way for us to survive and the only way everyone will thrive. It’s time to remember what we know in our cells and within the divine spark of the creator existing inside each of us: we need each other. It’s time for us to reconnect with what we already know but have long forgotten.
We can’t be free until everyone is free. Our lives are interdependent, like parts in our own body. If one part is not well it won’t be long before the whole body will deteriorate. Together we can create a Space of Love out of the current polar states of control and chaos. Making that our intention is the first step. It’s like planting a seed. If we nurture it each day, water it, talk to it, care for it, we will witness how our intention begins to flourish.
